Last night Danny and I were both dragging, feeling exhausted, but we went up to the church to join the prayer group.  We left energized!  We pray together and independently on our own, but I want to tell you corporate prayer is powerful.  It does something not only in the atmosphere but to your spirit and your physical man.  I believe when you lift others up, God does something special for the one who is praying.  If you haven’t experienced what it is like to be apart of a prayer group, let this be a challenge to you.  If you need prayer, make sure you get your name in the hat to be on those ladies list!  Spend some time this week lifting up our church and your friends and family and just see what a difference God will make.  We love you all very much and are lifting you up daily!!  Pastor Lori

WOW! WOW! WOW!

Sometimes my little faith makes me feel so STUPID! Glory Promise Center, you stood up and said LET’S GO!  Coming into Faith Pledge Sunday moring I really didnt know what to expect, I knew that God was going to do something big, but WOW! He really sent us all the message that we are right smack-dab in the middle of His will. I would also like to mention that the e-mails from members as well as folks that don’t even attend here keep coming in with new pledges. We are up to $148,000 !!!

Again, I will shout from the mountain tops, Lori and I pastor the Greatest Church in the world!

Lori and I are so excited about the upcoming new year!  As we look over our  shoulder at this past year, our heart explodes with thankfulness for the people of GPC. We are so thankful to have been chosen to be on this journey with you.  I believe that God has equipped GPC with some of the most remarkable and talented people in the world as well as in the Kingdom of God. 

This new year will be a year of Blessing and Favor for us all.  We are getting ready to TAKE THIS CITY !  God is expanding our territory! This New Year will be the year that we  induvidually and corporately  walk in our specific purpose that God has ordained.

GET READY, GET READY, GET READY!  The clouds are forming and just like the prophet Elijah, I can smell, the abundance of Rain.

This next week is FAITH PLEDGE SUNDAY, so be ready to obey the leading of the Holy Spirit on your pledge amount.

Lori and I just wanted to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas! Lets end this year with a celebration of the birth of our Savior and look forward with anticipation to the New Year! May the abundance of  God’s favor and blessing meet each of us in 2010.

Wow!  What an incredible Sunday morning we had this past Sunday. I was blown away with the power of unity moving throughout our body. I am as resolute as ever, we are ready to conquer this mission.  I have already received a Praise Report from a member regarding their FAITH PLEDGE.  She said that after service Sunday morning her and her husband sat down in their car and at the same time said that they were going to put off some plans they previously made regarding the first of the year. She stated that they discussed the amount of their faith pledge and even though they haven’t written it down, they were in agreement that they were going to put their plans on hold and be obedient to the Lord. Tuesday morning, the owner of the company she is employed with called her in his office and gave her an unexpected raise and a bonus. Praise the Lord!  I believe that we all will experience His divine favor in this season as we too obey the word of the Lord.

I told everyone that I would put the 90 Days of Promise plan on the blog so here it is,

Phase I is the 750 seat Gymtorium including a kitchen, offices, and classrooms. 
From December 13th thru Sunday January 3rd please be in prayer on the amount of your Faith Pledge. 
Faith Pledge Sunday will be January 3rd.  We will count all the pledges that day during the morning service.  
90 DAYS OF PROMISE begins Sunday, January 3rd thru Sunday, April 4th. During this time, we believe that God will bless you with the resources to fund your Faith Pledge.

Remember, pledge the amount God puts on your heart to pledge.

A while back I was driving in the rain. The rain was coming down so hard that I thought to myself, I need to pull over. Well, you know me, I kept going and not only that I was in the ” Fast Lane”. For a split-second, the car started to hydroplane. Chills went up and down my spine for fear of being out of control.  Praise the Lord, the tires made contact again with the asphalt and believe me, I slowed down. I also got out of the Fastlane. 

Has that ever happend to you? No one likes the feeling of being out-of-control. The greatest battles that were ever fought were over who would be in control, or to control…

After the car regained control, I realized that there are people that live everyday, Hydroplaning through life. Driving in the fast lane, (so to speak),while its raining,  has become their norm. One thing I’ve learned the hard way,  is that if you don’t control your day, your day will control you. If your day is controlling you then you are not really getting anything accomplished that is important to you. All you are doing is putting out fires as they come up.

The Bible says to run the race with endurance. When the Apostle Paul was speaking this to the church, he was communicating to them that life is not a sprint, it is a marathon.

I believe we need to pace ourselves, so that when the rain does come, we have the strength to make the right decisions and have the ability to maintain focus on the road, not just the rain…
